【摘要】:ThispartofBS8213givesrecommendationsforthesurveyingandinstallationofnon-loadbearingwindowsandexternaldoorsetsofanymaterial,tobeinstalledvertically(within15°)intotheexternalfaceofbuildings.Itgivesguidanceonthegoodpracticesnecessaryforthesuccessfulsurveyingandinstallationofwindowsandexternaldoorsetsinbothnewbuildandreplacementsituations.Itisprimarilyaimedatinstallationsindwellingsbutmuchoftheguidancegivenisrelevanttoothertypesofinstallation.TheguidancecontainedinthispartofBS8213mayalsobeappliedtodoorassemblies,butdoesnotcoverthesiteassemblyofindividualcomponents.ThispartofBS8213doesnotapplytoload-bearingwindows,load-bearingdoorsetsorroofwindows.Itdoesnotcovercurtainorribbonwalling,althoughitsguidancealsoappliestoseparatewindowanddoorelementswithinthoseparticulartypesofassemblies.Itdoesnotcovergoodbusinesspracticeissuessuchaswarranties,complaints,etc.NOTEForroofwindowsorwhenthewindowsandexternaldoorsetstobeinstalledfalloutsidethescopeofthispartofBS8213,e.g.non-rectangularproducts,itisnecessarytoseekspecialistadvicefromthemanufacturer.
