【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesthecharacteristicsofacategorialstructureandthecombinatorialrulesrequiredforcompliance,inordertosupporttheexchangeofmeaningfulsurgicalprocedureinformationbetweendifferentnationalclassificationsorcodingsystemsofsurgicalproceduresusingdifferentnationallanguageswithinEurope.Thisstandardisapplicableto:—organisationsinvolvedwiththedevelopmentormaintenanceofclassificationsandcodingsystemsformedicalproceduresnamelyformultipurposecodingsystemsonanationalorinternationallevel—organisationsdevelopingandmaintainingsoftwaretoolsallowingnaturalclinicallanguageexpressionsanalysis,generationandmappingtothemainexistingclassificationsofsurgicalprocedures.Thestandardhasbeendevelopedforuseasanintegratedpartofcomputer-basedapplicationsandfortheelectronichealthcarerecord.Itwouldbeoflimitedvalueformanualuse.Thestandarditselfisnotsuitablefororintendedforuseby,theindividualclinicianorhospitaladministrator.Itisnotthepurposeofthisstandardtostandardisetheenduserclassificationortoconflictwiththeconceptsystemsembeddedinnationalpracticeandlanguages.Thisstandardisapplicabletosurgicalproceduresinallsurgicaldisciplines.
